This chart is very interesting. It's a bit humbling, because even though our country is in the "Great Recession," this information makes me realize that we were still much, much more fortunate than the majority of the world. It does make sense that we have the largest economy because of our size, but it also shows that size doesn't matter (the GDP of tiny NYC is comparable to the much larger country, India).

I am actually really surprised that United States is making a lot of money compare to other countries. According to the chart, it seems like major states like New York, California, and Texas GDP is greater than many countries. This chart gives me an answer that why United Stated is still the most powerful country in the world.
